Hey there, im completely new to the game.
I happen to own a few gen watches but I am looking for a specific replica.

I was looking at JLC Ultra thin moon phase as well as a Cartier tank and an Omega De Ville Prestige all from Puretimewatch
The important thing to me is the leather strap. I have small wrists for a man and I had to have all of my gen watches adapted to me. Now I don't wanna bring a rep to my regular watch maker. So therefore im looking for something with a brown leather strap, that fits easily. My wrist size is about 16 to 18 cm.
The rep should look the most it could like a gen. Prizes to 350$ are in my range, also im buying from Germany so the TD shouldn't have any issues with that?
Sorry if these questions make me seem like the noob I am haha
Thanks in advance for any advice

Hi and welcome to RWI! Glad you found your way here.

Please take some time to read the sticky threads in the new members area (all subsections), learn the basic forum rules and get some very good advice in the process. A number of questions has already been answered there, this is just an example:

Another good thread to read to understand where RWI comes from and some fundamentals is this:

For anything else, feel free to reach out to @eBoy or me, we're happy to assist.

Regarding your questions, I wouldn't worry too much about your wrist size, most of the times the bracelets come sized for rather smaller wrists. You can always size bracelets at home by removing one or two links if necessary. If you simply like leather straps, I'd buy aftermarket straps and apply them on my own, it's not rocket science. But most important, ask the TD for availability of the watches you're after before placing an order, they may be old/discontinued/unavailable models .

Enjoy the forum.

Hey, thanks for the reassurance.

I am currently deciding between Puretime and trusty. I have done my research on the models I want to buy from them, looks good. But I am worried about shipping. I am buying from Germany and I have read different things about both of them. Sometimes great, sometimes not so great. Anyone got any advice on who does the most secure shipping to Germany of these two TD´s? I heard that triangle shipping over UK, like trusty it does can be very insecure. Any ideas on that?

AFAIK there's no TD that's better or worse than any other when it comes to shipping. Although you may find other TDs who don't charge as much for shipping, which is always worth looking into. Personally I always recommend Li at JTime. Bear in mind that any TD can source any available rep, so the choice comes down to marginal price differences, such as shipping, and finding a TD you like and is nice to do business with (which is where JTime scores for me).

There's always a chance with any import of counterfeit goods that the package is going to get intercepted, and it's entirely down to luck - it makes no difference which TD it's come from. The good thing with almost all TDs is the pledge that if your package is intercepted, then they'll send you another.

That's it, @p0pperini said it all. Let the TD take care of shipping, it's their job to do so. I have received many watches in Germany by now, never a problem (touching wood!).
Li is a good choice, very responsive on WhatsApp, maybe a bit more expensive, but top notch service. What you can do is checking out shipping and return policies. Some TDs grant reimbursement/replacement in case if customs seizure, some don't. In any case, don't overthink it, they know what they do.

Echo everything above, great advice.

Shipping prices are usually the differentiator between the TDs, with some TDs also offering discounts depending on payment method, so always worth while to shop around.

And because ya mentioned Germany, a great bunch of lads can be found at the below link, who are bound to have some localised knowledge ;)

Enjoy exploring, welcome aboard & best of luck with your first (of many) order.

I also highly recommend Li at Jtime. Jtime are so efficient, and brilliant to talk with via Whatsapp. Their shipping process puts me at total ease.
