Hi folks,

just want to say Hello as a new member.
Well, that's not exactly correct as I was very much into replica watches quite a few years ago. Bought and sold couple of watches but lost interest somehow.
That's probably 15 years ago. Only thing I remember is that it was quite easy to buy watches from China without loosing them at customs. :D
That has probably changed I guess.
My first replica was a Planet Ocean with orange bezel. Unfortunately, that came with a loose hour marker on the dial. But I was able to open the case, remove the movement along with the dial and glue the marker to the dial. Interesting time it was.
Anyway, I am back because I just love watches and been looking for a Rolex Daytona 116500LN high grade.

Thanks a lot for reading.
Cheers
Thomas

Welcome aboard Thomas.

Nice intro & fair play for being able to repair the planet ocean.

There are a few top tier options for the 116500 (clean and BTF to name the top two, I think) but its changing all the time, and there are a number of threads dissecting every detail, of each, so have fun exploring the rolex sub forum and deciding for yourself.

As you mentioned Germany, the below may also be of interest:

Thanks a lot for your warm welcome.
I am already in the hunt for the Daytona. But what I haven't quite figured out is the customs risk.
Are there any TD that ship from inside the EU?

I remember that I bought a watch from a UK based dealer. But that may no longer works because of their leaving the EU.

Most TDs can successfully get watches to the EU, without customs intervention. They know how & once it gets to my door, I don't care :)

Some, but not all, also offer a first order refund/replace policy if intercepted by customs or lost. So well worth checking their policy on this before sending any €€

I think that Sead (TD = supermirrors) may have some stock within the EU (In his listing he will have an 'I' to denote Italy) but its limited to his list. Maybe he can source, I don't know.

And there is a Supporting Vendor named 'EU Stock' that may have, or can source, some watches.

Likely to ve others, but these are the two that spring to mind if your question is EU. But as mentioned, broaden your scope, and you have a bigger selection of TDs to choose from.

As always, only communicate using their contact details available at their forum page!

Best of luck

An alternative could also be M2M, ya could get lucky and see one within the EU, but ya have to be quick.

Read the rules, check out the seller etc & the below is a great post.

Do your due diligence and be careful.

Best of luck
