While I love my analog automatics I have also been very fond of digital watches. Right from the earliest days of Pulsar and Hamilton red LED watches of the 70's to the latest cool ones like the Movado blue LED.

There is a company out of Japan called Tokyoflash who have had me on their mailing list for years. I bought a blue LED "Pimp" watch from them about 5 years ago and it always gets comments and compliments.

One of their newest watches in their Kisai line caught my eye and I ordered one up. Had it in just 4 days and it was very reasonable at just under $200US with free shipping.

The design came from a person who submitted the idea to them and they went ahead with the build (they often do this kind of thing as they have a huge following of brainiacs who submit designs)

The watch uses paper ink technology (Like a Kindle e-reader) and the design it spits our is like a Roschach ink-blotter test.

It only take a little wearing it to get used to being able to read the time. Since it's like a folded over ink blotter all you do is remember that you are seeing a mirror image. So the top-right displays the minutes and the bottom left the hour.

It is a very nicely built watch and shouts quality. Thin and very classy. Available in SS, Gold color plating and black chrome. Mine came with a huge bracelet but pulling 4 links made it perfect. I can barely feel it on my wrist.

It has an alarm and also 3 degrees of dificulty in reading it. My pics show #1 and #2... the 3rd setting can be a bit tough. It can also be set to be white numerals on black but I prefer black on white. It also has a cool sleep mode where you can set it to go to sleep say 2AM till 7:00 and during that time it displays a very cool image at random that is not the time but rather a very ink-blotter looking image. Its amazing value and the quarts movement keeps awesome time. I give this watch two BIG THUMBS UP! Amazing quality for the price and free shipping. They might even have it on sale for Xmas at a reduced price. Best $200 I have ever spent on a watch.

Wanted to post some pics but the do not want to upload. Still issues with the re-launced site?

Wow! 164 views and not a single comment. Guess I'm the only one that likes it. LOL! It gets tons of nice feedback from people who see it.
