Help with GRAHAM Diver mods???

Just got a V2 Graham Diver. Nice watch, but I'm aware of 3 mods that can really improve it. Unfortunately, I can't find a tutorial on the proper way to accomplish any of these mods:

(1) Loose/rattling trigger - I read in another thread that there is a simple mod that involves adding a small washer to the trigger. It can supposedly be installed in less than a minute without removing the trigger from the watch. I just can't find any instructions on how to do this. Anyone know?

(2) Loose bezel - I also read that there is a way to remove the bezel and reposition the click spring so that the bezel fits more tightly like the gen. Again, no idea of exactly how to do this. I'm afraid to even attempt to remove the bezel without knowing what I'm doing.

(3) Uncomfortable trigger - I can't wear my watch at all right now because the trigger scrapes my arm and drives me nuts. There is supposedly a way to file or polish the underside of the trigger to make it less sharp and more comfortable. Anyone know how to do this?

Any assistance with these is greatly appreciated!

I'd be also interested in number 1 and 2.

By the way: how about making it "waterproof". I greased the o-ring of the caseback and the crown, but i don't have the screwdriver to remove the movement, so no chance of sealing the chrono reset button or the he valve.

Does anybody know about the water resistance of the chronofighter?

I have a chronofighter oversize scarab

thanks :)

number3 is not fixable, thats just the watch you bought, you can use the hot glue fix to do the trigger, is it a smooth or click bezel? smooth bezel, just tie some wax dental floss around the underside

Okay guys rook one for the team here and did all the mods!

To fix the crown lever there are 3 ways: dental floss, hot glue or my preferred pliers. Simply take a cloth to protect the watch wrap needlenose pliers in it and gently squeeze the lever to tighten - but not so much to make it stick...

Waterproofing: I completely dissembled the watch sealed the He valve with epoxy on the inside, removed the crown and reset buttons and greased them. There ARE o-rings on them however I honestly think they are non functional. I'm getting mine pressure tested this week so we will see what happens...

Okay I also filed the black screws and made sure they were silver underneath, removed a spec of dust under the crystal. Moved the hands so they now reset exactly, serviced, regulated the movement then greased caseback and closed up...

Btw I work for a gadget repair company so we have a dust free room and all the tools; some of the components I removed were absolutely tiny - as in 5 fit onto a match head! So beware!

Crown fix = easy He valve not so.... I'll post pic and results later this week so you can see whether it was worth it!

Currently running at +7s/day (was doing -5min!!)

So you just squeezed down next to the pivot hex screw?

You MUST protect the lever with a cloth or similar.... Basically I squeezed just below the hex off the round bit and also in the middle... You mustn't be overzealous though as you'll stop it moving all together!

I'm not sure those hex screws are real as I couldn't tighten them o_O

Btw my custom built Graham went to 6atm on Tue =)

OK thanks for clarifying, Smidsy. I will have to do that adjustment myself. Nice job on the waterproofing. Lay said mine tested OK to 30 meters.

No probs! Post if you get stuck....

I'd honestly get the watch re-tested as someone else said £10 is cheaper than £160 for a movement....

Also the crown only has a single o ring with no screw in so be careful!

Hey guys,

one question: where do you exactly apply pressure to the lever? I just can't image this, maybe you could make a picture? :)

Anyway, it doesn't hurry since my lever fell off yesterday because the hex screw disappeared :-O
I hope PT can source me another lever unit

As i expected, no chance getting such a screw. But i did find something.

It could be possible to keep the trigger in place with a pair of wire-end sleeve. i took a 1.5mmx7mm and a 1.0mmx6mm. They fit together perfectly and function like the screws.

Only problem right now: those damn things are 1-2mm too long and shortening a wire-end sleeve that the smaller one will fit into the bigger one again is a pain in the ass/impossible.

I'll try to find shorter ones later this day, we'll see if it works ;)

i'll ask him as soon as he is back.

But honestly i think we can only buy the complete lever unit(and that's what i will do if it isn't tooo expensive).

Damn why are these screws nearly impossible to source? I mean, someone must had built these things or?
