Gen straps are well worth it...cheap straps cheapen the overall look and feel of an excellent rep. The rep straps feel nothing like and are not accurate vs gen...I went overboard and got the gen Blacksteel deployant as well.

I bought both the gmt and the blackbird, IMO the gmt wins hands down although I have not tried the v4 from GF...but given the quality of their recent releases I’m not sure I would bother.

Shit, did you really paid that much for the deployment claps? It's literally twice more than a rep. And V4 cost more than GMT, so I guess quality will be similar or better.

I picked it up on the grey market...but yes it cost a lot!

Any thoughts on titanium one? Will it hold up better than blacksteel?

The blackbirds have a lighter DLC coating. It will hold up nice unless you expect to beat on the watch. If that is the case get the avenger bandit. I have this watch as my "Beater". It takes a lot of abuse. Since it is titanium without any coating the scratches don't show up as much. I have no mercy on the watch when I am working around my house or in my workshop,
