Greetings,

After looking around quite a bit I am FAIRLY certain this is a real swiss 2824-2 movement. I am contemplating on buying it, there's a seller on the bay that I may use.
I was hoping one of the eagle eye experts can help verify this claim. Thank you!

Comparing the machining marks on the plates and the regulator engravings I am fairly certain that is a clone.

Interesting. I never considered the machining marks as a tell.

The seller has it for bidding (no reserve) starting just under $100

Yeah i paid 140 each for both a 2836-2 and a 2824, the 2836-2 was a chronometer grade with the Trovis regulator system on it , plus registration numbers and tested to six positions +heat. The 2824 was a elabore tested to 3 pos +heat

His prices do vary a bit depending on availability, but not by that much.

Great info guys, thanks a bunch. Saved me from buying a clone!
I'll check ado when I'm ready to go ahead with a build.

I'm a little late but I think the original one is a gen, but a fairly old one. They stopped putting the "patented" stamp on them years ago. Plus that jewel system was very common on older movements.

I'd go with Ado's serviced ones personally.

Guys. I can get you a brand new ETA 2824 from a very well know wholesaler who I can't say their name for $169 brand new. The 2836 is $213. I need to have a $400 dollar order for free shipping to me and I will charge you the 6 USPS shipping. These are brand new not referb. Now I am saying this because it has happen already. No I can not change the pinions on it to what you want. No I can't change the incoblock to what you want. These are the basic ETA. Here is the ordering page.
