Are you kidding?
There was no offensive post in this thread, just a statement of an opinion to which one may agree or not.
There are people here on the forum, and in Panerai section especially, who dedicate a countless number of hours to study, discuss and evaluate every rep, and it's all done for free.
The only thing that's required for.a.noob is.to make.his reading before posting the same.question already posted twenty thousand times.
Specifically, in the last few months it appears that each member who buys a 111 asks ALE to check whether his watch is a.v4 or a v3 or a v3.5 or whatever, with no idea of what the real difference is.
Honestly I gave up replying.to this kind of.questions, but ALE is still giving his advice to each and every member asking. And this is what you have to reply when he says stop the fight? Amazing. :picard:

Thanks kilo for the clarification

It would certainly affect the value if he were to sell it m2m

You make a great point. It certainly would make my FS thread misleading if I were to call it a V4 , yet was a false V4, or worse, a modified V3.

Back on topic, I decided to accept the watch from the TD without a swap, honestly, because the purchase is not for me but for a friend who wanted this rep. He said he could live with the 'poorly engraved' OP and told me to go ahead with the order, along with my A23J Daytona bundled with the order. The False V4 is definitely a confusing nomenclature, with many permutations of different versions of the 111 put together by Noob. ALE7575 , what are your thoughts of the V4 never reaching its true capacity as a true V4? Reason I ask, as I have mentioned in my past post, reps tend to move 1 step forward, 2 steps back. It would be terrible for Noob to get the true V4 wrong and release a V5 soon thereafter.

V4 never reaching its true potential is unfortunately just one of the many instances factories mess up (not that frequent though). But would Noob care? Probably not. Its watches are still flying off the shelves even with this unfortunate development with the V4. Maybe they'll improve upon it in V5. Just recently Noob had a PAM sale. Now what that means is anyone's guess.
