Help picking the right SUB

So after much reading i finally think I'm ready to get into a Sub rep. I've narrowed it down to a few but would like some input to them.

I know i want a black dial sub and would prefer the ceramic bezel. I'm not 100% sure on the difference of these and which movement to go with. Also, what strap/clasp should i look for?

Actually I would avoid all of those. Swiss ETA you're paying over the odds for a movement that either isn't swiss, is a bits'n'bobs movement or is old stock and possibly not working well. And the 3135 isn't the most reliable movement either as it's heavily modified.

Get the standard noob factory Ceramic submariner and you will be fine. And save a few bucks as well.

Agree with Bonesey on this. Youll be very happy when you unwrap the noob. Its a lot better than people give it credit for. IMO only thing they really need is a better pearl. But you can either get one from somebody, do yourself, or send it off.

Get the 116610 glide lock, its nice =) GL

^yea, I'd wait to see what's going on before ordering.

I order both the 21J and 2836 from timeshop. The 2836 is much, much better at keeping time. 2 weeks now and I think I've lost about 20secs. The 21J would lose that or more within a day.

So placing the order and have to pick from 3 movements

1 Swiss ETA 2836-2 sweeping second
2 Asian ETA 2836-2
3 Asian 2813

Which should I go with.

Go with 2. The A2836 is a clone of the Swiss and very reliable. Plus the Swiss is never the real thing. The A2836 is also a sweeping second if you were worried.

Has anyone recently confirmed that if you order Swiss then you don't get Swiss?

I do agree though that the A2836 is definitely the best value.

i got twice from him and it was perfect
