As the title really....

How on earth do you open them????

I've tried the screws on the front and they just seem to turn, but when I go clockwise they do tighten up.

The reason I want to get it open is to adjust the movement - it's running very fast.

Also want to lume it at some point in the near future.

Cheers

I thought that BR literally undo the front 4 screws then you can access the dial then there are 4 more screws on the dial and these remove the face? then the 4 screws on the back give you access to the back of the movement...

or am I totally wrong lol?

That's what I was thinking - it seems that is the only way in.

Maybe I should just keep going....

If there are screws on the back it is just for the lugs. You can access the movement by taking the front 4 screws off.

What about getting the stem off? I tried this morning, and couldn't do it, even after taking the screw out of the back.

4 screws in front will allow the movement to come out.
But you need to remove the one screw in the back that holds the stem in.
The screw that holds the stem in is the one that has engraving that says something to the effect of DO NOT REMOVE THIS SCREW.
Once those 5 screws are out, the movement will fall out the front.

NOPE, if there were a latch, how would you get to it? The release mechanism for the movement is on the BACK of the movement. But since you can only access the movement from the front, you cant get to it.
There is a screw in the middle of the case back that has "DO NOT REMOVE THIS SCREW" engraved next to it. THAT is what holds the stem and crown on.

Unless you have some odd version of this watch, that is how it works. Ive removed two of these movements without issue.

Here is some free advertising for Puretime because Im lazy...

Just a quick update: Taking the screw out does NOT free the crown. On the Ronda 5030D movement, there is a latch that will allow the crown and stem to come off. Push in on the crown, then push on the latch. It should come out most easily! There is also a small gasket on the screw on the back, but a very, very small amount of silicone used when reinstalled will improve the water resistance.
