I have 20+ watches that get semi-regular use, a mixture of gen and rep. I have a 8-slot travel case which holds most of my dailys:
this case is Breitling and Rolex.
I have a couple tabletop winders that I use as well:
I have a few rules for my daily’s, the first being that they are actually a good watch: the face is easy to read at a glance. This includes just about every Rolex, most divers, and precious few others. For me, though, the watch that is the absolute easiest to read (i.e., my eyes see the face of the watch and my brain processes the time) is the Breitling SuperOcean II 44. I have three versions, blue, black an the Special Blacksteel. My daily go-to is the black Noob SO II 44 on gen rubber with deployant. My second daily is the Breitling Avenger Bandit in titanium. That’s also my go-to chrono. I have it in both gen and rep. Awesome watch! And finally a gen Avenger II Seawolf on Diver Pro II with deployant. Other daily’s include Rolex divers (all of them... gen 16610 on Oysterflex, Noob v7 116610LN, VRF Max Hulk, ARF Sea-Dweller 126600 v2, 126660 D-Blue) and GMT Master IIs (LN and Batman).
Because I live on the water, divers make up the bulk of my dailys. I’m in the water at least once a day, so everything I have is waterproofed and pressure tested. Pretty much all divers are durable, so that quality speaks for itself.
Specialty watches include several Daytonas (116519 on Oysterflex is my go-to) and Navitimers (already discussed here ad nauseum), and the occasional spattering of Omegas. Specialty watches are more about looks and less about function.
When I travel (weekly) I take three watches - two dailys and a specialty. Lately that has been a SuperOcean, a Sub-C / SeaDweller and either a black or white panda noob Daytona v2.
