Yep looks like a hairspring problem. Glad it worked out and thank you all for help! I love this watch so much it would bother me to no end if something would happen to it.

I've also heard that sometimes the hairspring gets stuck together due to crud or even a little too much lube. If you really like the watch (don't blame you at all!) you might want to start thinking about finding a watchsmith to do a routine service on it. Just a clean-n-lube. VERY common in reps and a service may add years of life to it.

i have had this happen on 2 different watches , gently rapping them fixed both :)

right now it has been running for almost 5 hours without more then a few seconds of delineation. So I guess it is not magnetized after all.

The hairspring appered to be the problem there. When I "banged" the watch is was a mere gentle rapping, not a hard knock. I would not expect a refund from a delaer anyway, so I do not intend to return the watch. If it happens again i will certainly bring it to a watchsmith to fix.
