Help! Missing Package USPS Priority International

Greetings! Just wanted to share my experience and also get some help/advice on a package which has gone missing in transit. This is my first M2M purchase and I am based in Malaysia and the seller is based in the US.

The package was shipped out promptly by the seller on the 1st of November, from White Rock, South Carolina. Great communication and I was happy with how the seller handled the shipping. He used USPS Priority International Mail with tracking. From his experience, his previous shipping via USPS to Singapore (south of Malaysia) only took 7 days to get there.

However, From then on, it kinda went batshit crazy. The package took a crazy 10 days to get from SC to the International Distribution Center in Miami on the 10th of November. It then flew to Taiwan which apparently, takes about 5 days as it only departed Taipei on the 16th of November @ 8:45am.

The crazy thing is, the Tracking then showed that the item Departed Malaysia, KL International Airport, on the same day @ 3:43pm.

Since then (12 days have gone by), the tracking has been silent and all effort to find out where it is has reached a dead end.

I have contacted the Malaysian KL Airport Postal Facility which denies the item ever arrived in Malaysia. The Seller also tried checking with USPS and all they could say was the item was in "transit". Tracking hasn't updated

Need advice on how to track this package down or what steps are recommended to get me my watch back. Really appreciate any helpful comments from those who have gone through something similar.

In case or before anyone makes any assumptions, I’m the sender/ seller. Item was packaged very carefully customs was filled out correctly with receipt for repair inside package. Item was dropped off and mailed.

I have contacted the USPS center who could only tell me it’s in transit. I have received the buyers personal email and will be CC him on an email request to locate the package.

I have personally never had this issue before, one time a package took a while to get to AUS but never like this.

It's been a rollercoaster ride which hopefully will end well. Still actively seeking words of comfort from those who have experienced such circumstances! HAHA

As @xj4sonx stated he shipped from US to UK and it took 6 weeks. Try to have some faith. The package was sent, now it’s the waiting game. Have faith brother, it will get there.

I experience this twice sending a package to the Philippines, and HK bought to me on eBay. One took a month the other almost 2 months, Almost all go through every known country in South East Asia before actually arriving at there intended destination. Bottom line here when shipping to Asia especially during this season and South East Asia, in particular, it becomes chaotic. Just give it time I'm sure it would turn out ok.

It could have missed a scan and be in customs now. I've had this where tracking is dormant for days then moves.

I have purchased some items in eBay which were shipped through USPS. Average waiting time for the package to arrive here in my country is 30-45 days. I have generally stopped checking the tracking numbers because of this as I have lost none of my USPS packages so far. Despite the annoyingly long waiting times.

I'm not even planning on having anything shipped during this Holiday season as the post offices and sorting centers here are so loaded you can expect to receive your item by January or February if you order right now.

My worst experience is a package from Germany. It was a bezel for a Vostok. It took 4 months for that package to arrive. I even forgot I ordered that item when it just randomly arrived after all that time.

I hope everything will work out for your package.

Just to share an update! It has finally arrived (or at least I hope!) after 2 weeks of flying from Taiwan to Malaysia. I have a feeling they sent the package via pigeon.

Thanks everyone who gave me the reassurance that the package would still get here. Hopefully it won't be long before I have it in my hands!

That's great news! Probably was placed in a bottle and had to wait for the currents to bring it to your local postal service.

Package finally arrived today! 1 month +4 days to get here but definitely worth the wait! Box was a bit dinged up but great overall.

Watch looks amazing and was packed sufficiently with bubble wrap and scrunched up paper. Credit to @dupe for ensuring this baby's safety travelling half way around the world!

Appreciation is also due to those who shared their experiences and helped me through my panic attack haha. I'm definitely a happy camper now!

Glad it arrived in one piece. Never have had that issue with USPS before. Anyways enjoy the watch mate, and happy you’re pleased with it!
