I def thought it was time setting position too. That's what I have in my notes and I've been successful thus far...

Thinking about the reason for the stem removal to be on time setting:

We have less travel to extract the stem, and especially by the position of the Setting lever, there will be more technical reasons for sure.

There are movements that the stem should be removed in winding such as eta6497/8 and 7750/3. So it isn't a rule for all. Depends on the keyless design.

Whatever the stem position, it all depends on the quality of the specific movement. Those clones have wonky tolerances. So each movement can behave differently.

On a Seagull or a Sellita, I never had a keyless lock issue

I have also seen that upon cleaning and oiling the parts, the keyless works tend to be more robust even on the clones.

Pure empirical though.

I know I'm late to the party but it looks like the protrusion of the hour, minute, and seconds hands aren't long enough. I would be tempted to put the clone wheels into the original and it would make sense that it would work. Do you have any updates to this yet?

hello, finally the problem was the wheel.. but I wanted everything to be genuine, so in the end it has the genuine hour wheel, I didn't want to make a hybrid. My advice, measure the height of the hour wheel and buy a genuine one

however if you decide to use the Clone it should work.
