Hello Folks,

I am very new to the forum and purchased this watch from a user on Reddit earlier this year. Unfortunately, I do not know anything about the watch and I would to know if I got ripped off. I paid £160 for it and it is in reasonably good condition. It has a small scratch on the front which is unnoticeable but the biggest problem is that after a full wind, it only lasts around 4-5 hours. I am considering getting it serviced, unless of course it is only worth peanuts.

any information on factory, movement, flaws you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

That is a low-end PAM000. No factory (or none that would be proud to claim that as their product). Movement is an A6497, low end version, poor CdG decoration, OP text is a sticker instead of engraved, short MS. Flaws, other than the numerous ones in the movement, are the caseback should be closed for PAM000, the caseback used is for an H-series PAM111, the CP has a nipple and not polished. The crown guard is polished instead of brushed for an H-series. Luminor text on dial seems too tightly spaced. Shape of lever tip is wrong. All in all, not a good way to spend £160. Yes, you got ripped off, sorry to say.

thanks mysterio, I must say i'm disappointed but not surprised. The wealth of knowledge on here is outstanding.

Don’t let the poor purchase get you down, my first rep purchase BEFORE coming here was from a cheapo rep site that is not a trusted dealer. Spent $150 on a hideous PAM388 (search my username and you’ll find a thread on that heap).

Meanwhile, a few months later after properly educating myself on this great forum, I have two PAMs from TDs, another PAM from an RWI member, and just received an ARF 116500 V2 yesterday from TD.

Other than a less-than-thrilled wife, I’m hooked.

Oooh, tough man. The TD buys are a slow burn and usually require a wife gift up front...you may have better luck with M2M purchases through this forum. I’ve found M2M more effective as I can play the “OMG babe, Jesus, we have to act RIGHT NOW, time is of the essence otherwise another member will get it. This is the deal of the century, etc etc..”

While M2M is most effective, you’ll usually have to get her a heftier gift more quickly than the slow burn.

good luck!

As men are drawn towards watches, women are typically drawn to jewelry and bags. There are high-end reps of those but it depends on your wife's sense of humor.
