Since I stumbled upon RWI in early 2013 and bought my first rep, it has turned into a sort of obession for me...

The fun part of researching into the rep, reading review, learning the flaws and deciding which TD to get from eventually. Next came the anticipation of the QC pics and waiting for the watches to be shipped.

Since then, I must have bought 10 over reps. I have even bought an automatic watch winder for all my reps! All in I must have spent thousands!

My wife is scolding me for spending so much on reps but I cant seems to stop. This hobby is seriously addictive! Help!! :wyliehelp:

Sent from my iPad cause I'm to lazy to sit at a computer.

Yes mate , welcome to the club
I must have spent close to 15k on reps too .
Only way to stop is to get a very good gen
Something in the 20k range then u know
The detailed difference in the rep and gen
And that may change ur addiction
. Worked for me

I bought a 6 space watch box earlier in the year. It's full (obviously). I've decided that it has to be quality over quantity. I sold off the cheapies and filled it up with some respectable quality pieces,

It's no surprise when you start to spend money on modding and OEM straps, the hobby money gets chewed up pretty quickly.

Rep addiction............

Talking about addiction, George [Luthier, here on this forum] has a collection [addiction] of very nice pieces like nothing I have heard or seen before! He had to go buy a very large watch glass front display box [60 watch model] to start placing every watch in it's proper place. And still had watches of ever brand and model in every nook and cranny in his house. Even his German shepherd "Girl", had to pull out a couple from under the bed with her tail wagging! Talk about addiction! :RWI: Welcome to the club!

Yep same boat here. I actually was good for 2 months and I thought I was in the clear. And couple of weeks ago, a full blown relapse, a grand gone in a week.

Don't worry, you gonna stop after you bought all the good reps, there aren't to many of them, only few hundreds.

Haha! I think so too...anyway I learnt more abt the watches from RWI then all the other watch forums. By learning the flaws of the reps makes me appreciate the watches even more. Way to go RWI!!

It took me about 30 to 40 different ones before I suddenly realized I only wore two or three and the rest just sat there. I've pared it down to about 20 now and still need to sell another 10 or so. I just hate to see them go.

Someday you'll get to the point that who have all you want. Then you'll just hang out for the camaraderie and the search for the next extra special super-rep.

Same boat here.. Found the forums in May, started buying reps in June, bought watch winder for 8 watches + 8 in July and it's full already

Now I'm looking for another watch winder for the incoming watches :picard:

Oh, and I didn't mention the straps and the photography gear :picard2:

Luckily there's rwi where we can share this addiction, and thanks to Luthier's collection I can tell the wife I don't have so many watches.. yet.

You REALLY think I wear all of them? I just love all of them. So, why sell?

Yeah, I know. I just keep mine now mostly because selling has gotten to be too much of a hassle with PP charge backs and other noob foolishness and extreme expectations. But I do have a few rare and special ones that I might want to move sometime soon.

The first dozen watches I sold were all with a full 100% money back guarantee if you weren't happy. No way I'd do that now. I might have requirements of being a VIP member for 2 years with at least 500 posts.
