HELP! How to set a VR3135 into beat?

I've put 5 watches on the timegrapher -- 3 gens (2 x 3135 and 1 x 2836) and 3 reps (a VS3135 and 2 x 2824) -- all with the cases on and then off, in the same position, and they all give significantly different readings with the cases on vs off.

Yes that‘s my experience too!
Also there is a big difference on the position.
The Swiss ETAs run much, much better!
