HELP:How to declare a package??

Hi

I've ordered a watch from davidsen wich got sized from the customs.
Now he will resend me the watch and he ask my how he should declare the shipping.

What do you think is the best method to declare a shipping.

My ideas were "MP3-Player" or "Headphones" or soemting..

Don't lie about package content. They have very good XRay machine that will certainly see thru the content. Declare it as repaired time pieces to be returned to owner with value less than 100 bucks.

Declaration

It depends on your custom regulation. Normally I prefer non trade item or sample valued '0' 0r symbolic valued like 10 or 15...
At some countries there are alot of regulation related with these kind of declaration. For instance in my counrty (Turkey) over 150 Usd or 100 Eur I have to pay huge amount of tax like a punishment. (Exm: I have just paid 3oo usd for 160 usd valued MR straps)
According to regulations:
I have to go and deal with custom consulting agency which acredited with Custom Office. Because only under 100 Eur valued items can be taken by personally from post office custom. Others You have to deal with agencies

But as I sad before it is related with your country custom regs.

What I do normally pleased from deals, declare it as a sample or low value good such as straps valued 10 usd (under 30-35 usd)

Other important thing is package!!!!!
What ever you buy, make package smal unnoticable, make it like ordinary 10 page love letter or brochure in bubbled envelope.
And of cource there should not be no sign, letter or any mark on the pack

But ?f the subject is xray machines or something high teck stuff DONT LIE May be just bend as takashi sad...

Exactly... You can only toy around with the value but not for package content.

Being in the EU, the best way for u to do such a thing without problems is to ask the dealer for is address.
1- Send him a package with something inside that makes the weight of the watch and send as watch to repair/return.
2- You ask the dealer to put something like crystal repair with no more than 20€/$.
3- I would also make the payment to the dealer in 2 parcels one with the 20€/$ and the rest to make the price of the watch.
4- Then u keep that info and receipt (of the send "goods") and paypal receipt of the 20€/$.
If the next package get held u show them that as a proof that that was already your watch, you show the paypal (or what ever receipt) of the 20$€ + the proof of sending the watch u will have no problems because crystal is no counterfeit and with this u only purchase a crystal.

Does shipping watches out of EU to Con US cause customs problems? Does the outgoing country check the package as if it was going into the country?

This is the way I have done it also...it works perfectly.

If you can't do it, the ask the dealer to put watch repair on the custom forms.

Last package i received was a pain....the return address and content of package was written in Chinese language, that created a problem, was done by RUBY..... I expected a little bid more from here, anyhow...the shipping company called me and asked : what is in the package and I told them watch repair, 25€.......the package made it.

When something is shipped from China, the package will be in the custom office of the carrier, the papers of the shipment will go to custom and when the papers are ok, it will clear customs in a minute. It will not even see the xray machine because it is hold in the custom department of the carrier and only the papers will see customs. This is for EU................. received a watch from Andrew and it was declared as 1 USD toy sample, customs took 2 min on the FEDEX tracking info

yeah dont lie about it. Last thing you want is them reading "Headphones" and the open it up and see a watch... then they'll seriously know something is wrong.

Something like "Fashion watch" or "watch repair" or "replacements"

is what i've seen. is your recieving city Customs pretty anal?

That's got to be a tough one, hope it works out.

I have sent 2 reps there twice with no problem. I think country of origin plays a part. China product is considered high custom risk.
