Help choosing between PAM 000,390,005..

I read a bit more today and the posts were from 2015 but in Jan ALE mentioned the sausage on the dials is quite concerning. But in Aug he wrote in another thread with side by side pictures that the latest reps are at a very decent level next to the gen. Unless you're educated about this tell, I don't think anyone can call it out.
What do you guys think?

For me, the sandwich dial is what makes Panerai — for some reason it just has a depth and a presence that sausage does not.
Regardless,I would say buy both and either sell one you don’t like as much m2m or keep them. My bet is that you’ll be wanting the one you didn’t buy a day after you get the one you did buy.
But then again, I’m a hoarder haha

Haha that's a fair point. This will be my first rep after learning in this community. Previously I bought a seven friday which turned out to a great rep. Never raised an eyebrow.
I just want the one with the least flaws upfront I suppose. Just wanted to know if the 005 will be evident when taking a wristshot or showing it to someone casually on the wrist.

I love the logo so for me it would be 005, anyway I saw this new X factory 005 on Toros site not sure it is same standard as their new 000XF

Why not get the new XF PAM000? It seems to be a very good option, at least in the pictures..

Wow I have NO clue about this XF 000 model. I love the 000 but Puretime said they don't have it.
Is this better than the 005s out there?
Did even more reading and found that the sausage "issue" is not apparent when looking at the watch or taking a wristshot. Unless you're someone from here with experience, it cannot be caught. Thoughts?

I read about the sausage dial "issue" too, personally i love the Pam 000 and 005 logo and the closed caseback but what makes Panerai unique is the sandwich dial and i love the Pam 111 alot sadly its see through caseback

I personally own the PAM111 and I have to say its an impressive piece. Without the gen piece beside it I can't even tell the difference. I personally own alot of genuine timepieces and the replicated PAM111 from Toro is very gen like. I believe the one I got is the Noob V4.

I have gathered now that some think the sandwich dial is close to the PAM DNA and some prefer sausage in that aspect. I do not mind either.
Where I DO mind is, if the sausage on the 005 or 000 is something one can call out when the watch is on the wrist or simply from a photo.
if that is the case, then I would be absolutely fine with a 111. Personally I believe no one can call out that caseback even if i show it to them (V4 noob etc)
But that caseback is still a "BIG" tell....and I just dont know yet if the sausage is just a "big" of a tell as that caseback.
I find these levels of details about the rep word highly fascinating already,lol

The latest V2 of the PAM005 (last I checked it was only available on Asian7750 but ask your TD if they can source it) has a very good sausage dial construction, very near to gen compared to the previous version or the Noob factory release. But even if you got a H-fac V1 or a Noob PAM005, I doubt a guy off the street would be able to tell if the sausage construction of the dial was not like the gen. I know someone who owned a gen PAM000 and honestly he couldn't tell the rep from the gen so he sold the gen and he bought the rep.

Just go with the one you like and most importantly you like it you are wearing the watch because you appreciate it, we're not wearing it to flaunt it to anyone, if a person is wearing a rep keep on flaunting to others, he is like shooting his own foot :laugh: until someone really call them out. That's my 2cents

That's my 2cents100% in agreement mate. Flaunt is not on my list here, honestly speaking, the truth is, I normally always buy gens, but ONLY if its worth the price tag. PAMs, Hublots and some IWCs are not worth the price tag to me....also Tag Heuer too....so I prefer the NWBIG in these cases. In this search I got too deep invested into details in the world of reps because its literally an education of its own, lol. I just didnt want a rep with an evident flaw that can be called out by anyone (like a ticking rolex shitter) hence the 005 had me worried. But i see that , its a rep farrrr above those degrees of fakes.
So guys! I'm finally pulling the trigger tomorrow on a PAM 111 or a 005, both Noob.

Get the PAM111. No polls. There isn't really a better rep, but if you want somebody else to choose your watch for you then there you go.
