Hi,

Recieved a U boat classico rep from Watcheden last week. Looks visually great and similar to the flightdeck I had from them a couple of months ago.

However i think its an asia automatic, it starts okay but when the second hand gets around to the minute hand I think they are mis-aligned as it stops and catches on the minute hand. Only way to get it going again is to change the time and set it going again. Very tempramental and can work for 15 minute before it happens again.

Took it to a watch repairer, said they dont like doing reps as expected and that from his experience he maybe could fix it but theres a 75% chance of the pins or stem or something dropping out and if that happens the wathc will be broken and useless.

Can anyone give advice of my options ?

Many Thanks in advance

Have you asked WatchEden what they want you to do?
Personally, I'd find another watch smith. See my signature below for tips.
Ask him to confirm with a loupe that this is the problem and if so assure him you won't hold him responsible if it just falls apart in him.

I have removed your other, identical post. One is enough thank you.

Get a new watchmaker, all he needs to do is bend a hand fractionally if it is indeed catching. No doubt it copped a big hit in the mail.

cheers for the info and for removing the other post ( didnt know which place was best ). Watcheden said I can return but the postage back to china is around £30 and the wathc only cost £65 so it isnt really worth it.

I'll try and take to another watch maker ( the one I went to said he could in theory do it as risk to me ) . But are they right when they say a very small chance of the operation being successful ?

Thanks

managed to take it to a shopping centre watchsmith who manager to re-align the needed so it doesnt catch anymore. Only problem now is it seems to run intermittently and stops a lot,( I have self wound etc but still does it ).
dont really want to take it back to the same place and its too expensive to post back to watch eden.
Can any one reccomend the best watch smith on here from the UK ?

Thanks
