Hi guys, I am buying a SMPc blue 300M from a TD. It is in the third round of the QC process. They have fixed the bezel alignment problem for me during the past communication. However, I still found the "OMEGA" letters on the dial to be misaligned to the left (not centered) for all three watches they showed me (if you look at the positions of letter E and letter A). I am wondering if you noticed the same thing. The dealer told me that this is the best they can get from the factory. Should I just accept or wait for the next batch? I really did not see this problem in the pics that others posted on this forum. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I am attaching two dial pics in this post.

First of all posting QC pics isn't allowed. QC pics are for personal purpose only.

Anyway since this will be a useful thread for a few other members i will let for the time.

Your dealer is very patient. You rejected 3 watches for that reason? Most likely its the angle of the camera but if it isn't, don't forget you are looking at macro shots taken from a distance 4-5 cm from the watch.

That means that a misaligned logo by 0.1 degrees is basically unnoticeable when its on your wrist...

Long story short, take the watch and run, its just great.

yeah, it looks left of center by 1/32". I would never have noticed that unless someone had pointed it out to me in a macro shot like you have.

I just realized why the prices in the rep industry the last couple of years have raised like a tsunami... And indeed our TDs they have amazing patience. Nice watch BTW :punk:

Sorry about posting the QC pics. I am not familiar with the rules. I might see some QC pics on the forum so I thought it is allowed. The bezel was not properly aligned so I rejected the first two watches. The TD that I am dealing with is indeed very patient. It's not the first time that I buy from them. Anyway, thank you for your advice! Last time I got a CrPO with a misaligned omega logo. Every time I looked at the watch, I noticed that logo. I end up selling that piece. So I am very careful this time when examining the QC pics. Maybe I am just too picky... I'll let pass this time. Thank you. :)

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but the way the applied logo is attached to the dial with little feet, they will all pretty much be the same.....they don't line them up on ea individual dial, they just stick the logo feet in the holes that are there already, i think

The dealer said the black version might be more precise as the blue color could be a little bit different from the gen.

I think factories in general struggle replicating blues and greys for some reason. I like this blue as it's not sunburst like most rep blues , it's like a high gloss. Looking at the QC and other omegas the 'E' should be central of what you call happy feet right?! I don't think it would be as noticeable in real life TBH. A watch I recently got had a misaligned marker at the 9 position. And whilst you can't unsee it, it's just not as noticeable when on the wrist.

If i was going to buy Omega this would be the one. I really like this watch.
I just picked up Aquaracer yesterday from post office. Few hours has passed and i noticed my 12 o'clock bezel lume dot is not centered perfectly it is off by 0.5-0.7mm or so. At first i felt disturbed but noticed that if i dont stare at it, it's not noticeable, hence when wearing the watch i don't even see it, its impossible to spot when watch is slightly tilted. I am new to this hobby and have made so far only 2 purchases in past 3 months, but already learned that if one is to anal about nano details, its hard to find a perfect sample. My noob pam390 is more perfect but it's a watch with simpler look and easier to rep compared to Tag chrono or this Omega.
I'm sorry, but i still can't spot what is the problem with this watch.

Honestly you got one of the best rep, I'll accept it straight away.
I just ordered one as well and the bezel alignment is way off and there isn't one available to swap that is nearly as good as yours.

One of my favorites also...

Not so bad...at least you got the bezel ring and insert aligned properly...I can't believe how many I've seen where it is "off" and that's the major flaw.
