Hi everyone,
Just introducing myself. I am new to rep watches, I was given two by a friend who was trying out reps for feel before finally settling on a genuine Seadweller and Seamaster. I was fortunate enough to get a fake Submariner and Daytona from him.
The Submariner seems to be pretty good quality, it looks the real deal and feels pretty close to the quality of the real Seadweller when you hold them both. Sadly it is missing two screws from the band though, I still have the links but have no idea how to find screws to fit a replica as I am guessing they will be different from the genuine. Not too much of a problem though because with the divers extension open it still fits.
The Daytona isn't as good, it is gold and the plating is worn through in a couple of places and it isn't running well. When I got it the rotor was very loose but I fixed that easily but it also ran really fast. I was able to slow it down but it still gains about 30 seconds an hour. I am not too worried about that one though as it is not a good replica to start with.
Sorry for writing such a long intro, I didn't mean for the first thing I did here to be boring you all
Anyway, I am really happy I found this forum. I would like to buy more reps and was pretty sure most of the sites on the internet were scam sites. Now with the help of this forum I can find reputable dealers and educate myself about reps so I am really happy about that
