It's Mother's Day in the US. Post a picture of that woman that made it possible for you to be here.

My mom has put been there for me through thick and thin. My knucklehead attitude as a teen. My divorce. All of my other crap. But she has never turned her back on me. Love you Mom

My mom is great and she taught me so many things that have helped my in my life!

My wife is also the greatest mother to our 5 children...and as a wife to me! It is not only Mother's Day...but it is also our 31st wedding anniversary! But we have been together for 35 years! She is my best friend.

I am not in any way ashamed to say that I love her more than anything on this earth....even more than my collection!

Happy Mother's day to all the mother's....and son's and daughter's out there....

I'm an orphan. No father, no mother, no family. I find these days (very) depressing. :( I envy you guys, cherish those moments.

Two of my sons married American girls. They both, quite rightly, celebrate both the UK and the American Mothers day.

Thankfully they live in England.

Here's wishing all American Moms a very Happy Day.

Ever since I read the OP's post, I had wanted to reply to him and encourage him. But everytime I typed something, it didn't sound right.

You, Rudy40, just put it perfectly! I agree 100%.....God has a plan for us all. Plans of peace....

Nice post....

Thank you my friend . I to didn't know how to respond at first. But I have been in the same place he is at right now. Then I realized one day that God has a purpose for me! And as I got older I value life much more! I am not very well right now. But God has gave me another day to enjoy life and that I am grateful for!. Enjoy life while you can! We all have that appointment one day!
Cheers!

My mom died exactly one year ago this month. I'd like to wish her a Happy Mother's Day anyway.

This year, I have had to move my mother and father into memory care as they both are suffering dementia at the same time. My father is worse, and rarely speaks much keeping his thoughts to himself. When he does, he trails off.

My mother quit eating for a while and got to where she couldnt walk. We took steps to get her eating again and got them moved into a place that could take care of both of them. Her memories are jumbled quite a bit, but she can still take care of herself for the most part. She is pretty mean to my dad, but she doesnt really understand the shape that they are both in.

They have had a rough year, and its not going to get better probably. So enjoy your time with your mother's while you can everyone. More often than not, they are the ones who shape us more than anyone else.

cybee, sorry to hear.

Thank-you Sub.

Best of luck with your mom Doover. It's a little strange when we come to the point in life that we take care of our parents, but it's only the right thing to do.
Your mom looks like she is enjoying that ice cream sundae and I don't blame her.
