HAD WATCH BUILT & WATCH EXPERT HAS VANISHED!!

The biggest shame is I have another watch and my friends have watches that just need a basic service and I cannot bare to be without my watch for 4 months! Hence the other thread I started asking for more UK based watchmiths. I do not want to take work away from Rocket, but what am I supposed to do?

My advice would actually be to find a small independent watchmaker who loves watches and doesn't mind working on reps. Look them up on the yellow pages or whatever, give them a call, and ask them. Once you find a good one, you'll know the difference and you won't look back. Also, you probably won't tell anyone about it, lest you run the risk of creating a new Rocketeer (who's running around like a headless chook trying to get everything done and getting very little done). Importantly, suddenly your watches will be returned to you properly serviced within a week. Not half a year! Believe me, it's life changing.
