Well, for what it is worth... And I guess we will find out for what it is worth. I have it on good authority that all the watch orders will filled and it is getting very close to the shipping of the first orders. Probably by the end of the month.

I know, I know, we have been hearing this for three months or so (They will be done next week), but if it were me, I would hate to be the guy who pulled the plug one week before the watch came out after waiting for three months. Especially if the reason they took this long was because they wanted to get it right. That is one of the possibilities you know...

Anyway, if it all goes well I will post up my pics the first week of August....
hahahaha

We will see.....

I'd rather be the guy who pulled out to quick, than the guy who stayed in too long. You can always pick one up from the " Not getting enough wrist time " crowd.

How can you post pics when your head is up Jandrew's arrrse ??? :hehehe:

You mean Mikey "I guarantee it will be out next week I told you so" 00?
Well, we saw how that worked out...

Not saying I will be the first, but hoping to be one of the first.

As far as picking one up later goes, that doesn't make any sense to me, especially if you have already pre-ordered and have waited the three months. I've always been one who tries to control my own destiny as much as possible. Too many variables already on this watch without adding in sitting around waiting to see if someone will sell me their watch If it is as good as I have been told, it will be one that every one who pre-ordered will either:
A) Keep
B) Try and sell for a profit

If it is a cr@ppy version, then why would I even want to buy it?

It was a roll of the dice with risk involved from the beginning. It has the potential to have great reward or great failure, but trying to pretend that sitting around and waiting is somehow a smart move at this point, sounds like someone who is trying to justify their unwillingness to take a risk.

Nothing more, nothing less...

I don't need to be one of the first. One thing I learned in the rep game is to have patience. The few times I have bought into the hype, I've sailed away on the Failboat. I also do not let people hold my money without some kind of return. I'm crazy like that.

It is not about being "First" It is about getting a watch with a little discount through pre-order and taking the chance that you may end up with a nice watch with that is hard to get

You are ignoring some of the very plausible scenarios...

1. For whatever reason (And there are plenty) the first limited run on this watch is the only time it is made.

2. The price is increased above that of the original offering price (Which it already has)

3. The limited production of this watch make it extremely sought after and valuable $$$$

Ether way, it is incorrect to say there can not be "Some kind of return" on this watch as any of the above scenarios offer a very real chance to make "Some kind of return" And this does not even take into account the "Return" one receives regarding the satisfaction of owning a nice watch. After all, isn't that why most of us are involved in this hobby in the first place?

Like I said, at this point, with out knowing how this will turn out, you can not draw absolutes like that. No matter which side you are on, at the simplest level, it is about taking risks.

Some people feel comfortable taking those risks, some do not...

QC pics look great

On a much more important note.

Are you really a winemaker?

If yes, do you live in the OC?

If yes, can we meet to drink some of your wine?

If no to the winemaker question, but yes to living in the OC, we can still get together and drink wine. I consider my self a full fledged member of the WWW group.
Wine Women and Watches.

In that all three will make you poor...

Yes and no. Not sure there are any vineyards worth much in OC.

I can attest that there are not, but there are some winemakers worth their salt living here.

I have family in Sisquoc and enjoy some of the wines from that area and the Central Coast. One of my close friends has a home in Saint Andre' right on the edge of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape region and his wife is a wine importer so I have enjoyed their keen insight to French wines. Temecula will do in a pinch, but as my family says, Napa and Sonoma are what we call Mecca...

I will be there this October

Pm me when you are up here.

Will do. As of late I have been trying to follow the maker not the vineyard. Surprising how many good wines are out there once you get to know who the maker is...
