H-Factory diver delima

I see. Well vac said he has no problem putting these hands on a 2824, but he transfers over some parts from the H-fac to keep the hands high.

I asked andrew if he would send me a replacement movement to save me shipping the watch back to China. $150. lol. He really is a scummy ******.

It's up on the sales section now, but to be honest I think I will send it to vac, I'm not fully convinced about the V3 case still.

The hands fit because the parts he's transferring over are the ones the hands go on most likely. (if he's doing it for height as he says)

I think the scummy in this instance is more on hfac to be fair. They are known to be stingy and lousy with parts. I've had no issue getting free replacement parts from Andrew for BP fac watches, which is what I'm basing that on. That and that multiple dealers have complained in the past about hfac and parts.

I still think it's shady as hell that hfac is using this movement at the clone price point. I will never buy a watch from them again simply based on that.

it's a shame. To mess up a really good watch with such a scary movement. And the problem for h-fac is, everybody knows that now.

H factory used that same movement on the latest Breitling Steelfish that cost about 200$ I think...

So this is not the first time the H factory put that crap movement on a watch to release it at a cheaper price than the other factories...

Bad strategy now that we know it. For now on when the H factory releases a new "cheap" model we will know what type of movement it has.

I just bought an H Factory Steelfish. The TD ad says it has A25J movement so I assumed it was A2434 or A2836..... Looks like I'm wrong....
Damn.

Better to check with toro. We can't say for sure without looking at the movement itself. But personally I will be very wary to buy a h fac rep with an advertised a2824/2836.
Making a guess, The diver above does seems to be a likely victim given the price and description.

I checked with Toro on the starfish. The A25 J isn't the A2836. Great thread guys. You saved me from buying a watch with a dodgy movement. I changed to another watch just in time !
