Hello everyone!

After gaining interest in wristwatches in the beginning of this year I am now making myself comfortable with hopefully anything you can know about watches, either rep or gen, since these little machines are wonders of human creativity to me.

After purchasing my first proper watch earlier this year I am now seeing myself become more and more invested in learning how to build or tweak my own replicas or even do some „barn find restoration“ of genuine models in the future. I always had a thing for technical stuff and for one year now I am working as self taught goldsmith, so there are quite a few parallels to the topic of mechanical watches.

I am about to do my first purchase of a replica with a TD from overseas (currently waiting on QC), while i simultaneously ordered some watch parts for a starter-friendly project to get acquainted with the parts. I also plan on acquiring a modded frankenwatch soon from a talented modder.


I hope to find useful information here and sharing thoughts on all kinds of things related to our common hobby. So far I’ve been reading the basics here and could already gather some useful knowledge or answers to my many early questions. I probably belong to a certain type of people who won’t take long to build up an impressive arsenal on newly acquired artifacts, so I am also eager to sell parts or finished projects, or even trade stuff with other users to keep things far from getting boring

I’m happy to soon take part in interactions between other members of this great form, and im pretty hyped to get started in this new hobby!
