Green Submariner

Hey guys,

First of all, I am just starting at this wonderful world of replicas. I got a black sub old version replica, which I think is ok but having been able to compare it to genuine subs, I know it's full of flaws. So now I've been wanting to buy a Hulk Submariner replica.

From the research I've carried out, I think Puretime's seems to be the closest to a gen green ceramic bezel sub:

My question is: Can we actually trust that the watch on the video there is the actual replica? It seems far better than the sub I have (here's a pic of mine).

If not - then NO, it's not the same watch.

Luthier, I haven't bought it yet. I just wanted to check with more experienced members if the watch on the video is actually a replica or a gen and if (considering puretime's reputation) it is what I'll get.

PS: The one I have is from Andrew (TT).

They only difference between Andrew and Puretime is the site your now on.... all dealers carry watches from the same sources,,,,I don't think Andrew sells noob maker watches,,,, but he sells some nice watches,,,,,,you need to read and learn what your buying before you throw your money away.....

Read, read read, read, and read some more..... that's how you learn to buy a nice replica....

the hulk from puretime vs andrew hulk.well angus is noob v2 and Andrew's is bp.rember the bp has a metal insert not ceramic.but u can put a v1 noob insert on it quite easily and install the bp pearl too .your desison pal

yes it is.it was the first rep i bought.then got the ln because it had a real ceramic insert

Andrew's Hulk is a ceramic insert watch..it's a older model and not the noob...but it is ceramic..he doesn't sell noob watches.he is a major dealer although not considered trusted by this forum...and he does NOT sell noob watches.

mitch the bp hulk i got from andrew was metalic painted. I removed paint to check.andrew said to me its a look-alike ceramic insert.its not ceramic.well mine was not.so then got the black version .

Its possible that they used a black ceramic insert and painted it metalic green.but in places where the green metalic paint chipped off my hulk sub c looked like bass metal

I can believe it with Andrew, but the ones that are being sold from bp now are ceramic....but this is someone asking how good the ceramic is and people suggesting to get the v2,,, makes me want to scream! They both suck! You may have been better with the aluminum copy!

I own the noob v2 Hulk sub, and I did get mine through pure time.

The watch is the best it's gonna get right now. It's a beautiful watch. Go use the search option & search the forums about it.

was/am gonna buy a hulk, so i've done a little bit of reading on sub related threads.

i've found noob v2 is possibly the closest to the gen imo, but the font is really bothering me though.

the problem is, there's no other better choice.

i'm very new at this and wish i knew more about modifications.

what i meant was... for the 116610 LV rep i like from puretime (noob v2?), numbers on the bezel insert look obviously quite "skinny". everything else are all good to me.
