Got my TC Sub V-series (version IV) today

I just received my TC Sub V-series (version IV) today, as usual a amazing package and a tremendous watch, many thanks TC.

Plastic sealed

Sealed in a silver plastic, wow.

I don't really mind about the rehault, a lot of people have it shaved, for me it's fine

Here is the comparison between the TC bezel and Clark's bezel, Clark's seems to be deeper and more polished.

So I am adding to it the Clak's bezel and a gen insert.

Mine should be here either Saturday or some time next week. I got the rehaut engraving removed, it bothers me........although I had it on my gen GMT 2 C, I just dont like it. If it doesnt bother you, your fine.

I got mine with the Maxi dial & hand set........will post everything in my own thread when it arrives.

How much did the clark bezel cost you?

The bezel cost $42 and I have read in other forum that the gen insert fits perfectly so I will install this bezel.

Wow.......hmm.......now you have me thinking. I had a heck of a time trying to install my gen insert on the TC sub a month ago & since I couldnt install it w/o shaving, I sold it with a WM insert. Plus it had the DWO V1.

I will look into the Clark bezel. Im assuming the Clark bezel look more gen as well?

I know TC is working on the "perfect bezel" but it wont be available for a few months.

The Clark bezel is an improvement for sure...if you can live without a gen constructed assembly. I tried mine on the TC and while the gen insert fit perfectly the retaining ring is over 1mm too tall...needs to be filed or either the insert will pop back out on you or it'll jam the bezel rotation.

Great information dude.......so if I want a Clark bezel which easily takes the gen insert, I need to shave 1mm off the retaining ring. If its not one thing its another, grr........:lolcina:

So it seems...but there are variations from piece to piece. My TC bezel took a gen insert with help from a press...others say theirs wouldn't fit.
One of my TW bezels takes gen inserts like they should...one needs a tad bit of glue to keep it on.

Now you've got ME thinking. I own your old sub and have been unsure about buying a gen insert assuming I'd run into the same issues you did. But now this clark bezel sounds like a new option. I think I'll give it a shot once I source a gen insert at a decent price

TC does a world class job on the packaging on these pieces. The watches are the best Sub reps out for the money. I'm thrilled with mine!! I'm curious about the bezel thing and the genuine insert fitment. I've got a Clark insert on its way here, and we'll try that for the time being.

Oh, and my watch came with a V3 bracelet. Without question the best Sub SEL bracelet available. Construction and fitment are without equal.

I got my TC sub a couple weeks ago. Gen insert snapped right in, just like on a gen bezel. I bought the new Clark bezel set, have not installed on the TC watch but I was trying to install a gen insert and I can see as above, the retaining ring is about 1mm too tall. That should be a very easy adjustment. I bought the Clark for a different project, a sapphire GMT like in BK's thread...but I might go ahead and install it on my TC sub, the teeth are really nice.

If you are gonna source a gen insert, it wont fit on that bezel unless you shave the insert itself but from what I hear, it will snap right in on the Clark bezel, so............

Thats BS I exchanged my TC insert with a gen one and no shaving was necessary!
