Got my Pam 587 from Toro Today

There is a new 6497-based decorated p3000 that is better than the old one. One of the eBay sellers has it.
Does not surprise me that strodda got the clone 3000 to fit: the case interior is larger than a 6897. There is a lot of room in there. Yes, shewie, the hand set will have to be a clone hand set. Or you fit tubes on the 6897 hands for the clone.
Mind to show us this movement sourced on ebay with improved decoration, more P3000 a'like.
Post some pictures of that comparison. Would love to see this and river 6154 side be side.

As promised here's som pics of them side by side. Couple things to keep in mind, my case back on my River is a custom from Athaya, the River case back is actually thicker than the noob case back. Also, the crystal is an Oyang on my River so, not sure how the stock crystal compares to the noob.
My overall impression is that the River looks thinner than the noob, it's shape is a bit more well defined. I also like the brevet crown on the River more, it feels of better quality than the noob. All that being said, for the price I got it, $128, the noob is a fantastic base for a vintage project.
On to the pics, the River has my own custom Regia Marina dial, the noob is as I received it stock, only with a new strap.

I love both but a also preferencia River's one. I think the River's one is more similar to the 622. The case is thinner. I also prefer the big lug holes.
The 578 is a very good starting point forma a vintage proyecto. Do you think that the casebacks are interchangeable? Just to order a new one from Athaya.
