Goodbye, stuck in US customs or still hope?

IMHO it was "SERVICE RETURN"
the customs declaration has to describe the physical object that is in the parcel and the estimated trade value

It would have been better to put
TIMER or WATCH PARTS
with a note inside saying "watch does not work well, for repairs or parts"

That said, I made the choice to only sell in EU. You never know if the parcel will be randomly checked, and I don't want to handle the distress of a buyer not getting his watch.
Ye likewise, I only sell to US.

What exactly do you think raised a red flag? The package already got the clearance from EU customs prior to reaching the US and had no issues there.
What would be the proper way to fill that in? Just to know what to avoid for the future.

That’s interesting but I’m curious how that’s done. Can you provide more info on this?
I’m really curious how this is done as even though it’s labeled from a domestic address it will still get through customs (I believe) since it literally/physically comes from a route outside of the US.
Customs hate generic titles, but this one except from generic was wrong also
Customs feel a form for every package in order to clear it, generic titles leaves them without knowledge what to write in specific subjects, leaving them with the only one option to hold and scan it and see what is actually inside

A good custom form with everything correct filled leave if not zero a very small percentage of something to go wrong, it just clears immediately (using dhl-ups providers ofc), especially at such a relaxed custom as USA's

I’m really not sure. I’ve came from a New Jersey address. You’d have to ask a dealer

Maybe the border agents are going to have an Easter get together where they bring their seized Yacht-Masters to compare and say "who seized the best Yacht-Master this past month".

Then start a thread here showing all the Yacht-Masters they seized and adding pics from the party too.

I'm really sorry this has happened to you. I guess for those of us who have always gotten our watches but complain about how long it takes ,this should give us perspective

I really hope the dealer works things out

Honestly I don’t know what’s happening in the NY area but many watches has been seized recently, after I did some research.

Out of curiosity was the commercial invoice goods description sounded like on your package? Was it marked as a “rolex watch”?

I agree with you btw about more packages being seized

I recently had a $300 package seized as well :( not watches but clothes/etc

so I agree, customs in nyc/this side of the country seems far stricter and have been seizing more based off of personal experience

as for this it is not my watch.. i just ran across it and shared it here.. I think the main fault here was probably improper customs declaration.. $85 value. That and xray put a huge red flag on it and that's why it got targeted

just my .02

and yes, i am still reeling from the $300 package of mine that is now gone :( figures, have ordered a ton of watches through the years never being seized and my fake clothing/shoes are the ones that got nuked.. ce la vie

So far spring has not been kind to reps. First the raids and now this. The last time I received a rep it came in a box that didn't even look like it came from China. I wonder if the dealers can come up with more ways to not draw the attention of customs

not sure if you meant box as in the actual boxes the fakes come in ie: rolex with the green box packaging etc

from what i am seeing lately not from the world of watch reps but of reps in general.. the sellers actually warn us and try to get the said item shipped WITHOUT a box and paperwork/etc..

ie: Louis Vuitton sneakers without the LV box etc

because for some reason those set off alarms/triggers instant tell it's counterfeit products etc

it's interesting you mention that and from what i am seeing now from sellers in china just basically saying "you ok without the box? less customs risk"

I mean the shipping box the watch comes in. Mine had a domestic return address. In the past I received watches in shipping boxes that were obviously from China. It's probably too risky to do that now but I have no idea how each individual TD ships

Given all this I guess it's a blessing I can't order the watch I want right now. I'd go through the process only to face increased customs risk and then more likely getting the watch seized
