No way, that's some good reading there. It's quality material isn't it? Unfortunately for me, I'm doing a little less of that type of work at the moment, as I have more responsibilities and staff to manage. Still get to do it though, just less of it

I have a couple of guys I manage, but to be honest, the biggest pain in the arse is all the chaff that comes with the managerial position. F'ing audits, and complaints, client meetings and the like. It just creates lots of desk time and not as much chance to be out on the road interviewing scumbags.
But I know what you mean about reading others. You have to find a balance switch to either turn it off, or just ignore what you see. People are people. They will always lie. The average person 'embellishes' the truth three times in every ten minutes of conversation. When you read it, just let it pass, though if it's more than average, or its a major issue, it helps to form your opinions of that person. One of our boys tries to pull stuff on us all the time, He's still not learnt that he can get nothing by me

I'm in the healthcare business and you're right,those f'ing audits really gets most of my time right now because I'm the unit manager. Along with meetings, quality control and other stuff. Lots of deskwork. One of my staff tries to pull some shat on me, and I told him he's to young for that, told him I know he was lying, then showing him the cctv proof.
