What up, Q! Had a nice Easter myself with the fam visiting some friends out in Santa Barbara, CA. I'm here for another day before I head back to work/reality. Hope you had a good one bud.

I made it out to Solvang to hang out with some Emus and had some ableskivers while I was there. I really love this area.
Solvang is a lot of fun and those ableskivers with the raspberry jam and powdered sugar are yummmmmy.
Yes nice places indeed those places you guys mentioned. Good folks, serene, quite, clean and decent !! And great foods and treats. Soooo much different then the dumpy place Los Angeles is !!
All the beautiful people are in this thread...ditto on the left coast. :laugh:

I wouldn't say LA is dumpy. It's my home. I'm in Torrance right now having some sushi :thumbsup:
I live in LA too ! And believe me, it IS dumpy compared to the above places mentioned. Heck, some places in LA look like you were in a third world country. Downtown LA is like being in Mexico for geeezeeez sake !! ....... Can't complain here. Just saying it like it is folks. Times have changed !! ........... Yup, times have changed !!

I lived with my GF (now wife) back in early 2000 in San Pedro paying $400 for a studio! It was cheap, dangerous and DUMPY! But helped us save enough for our wedding and house in TX!
Not all of LA is dumpy. But each and every little area or sub-city you cross in can dramatically change from great and nice, to oooops gotta step on the gas a bit more. "Let's get outa here " !! Some places are downright dangerous even to stop for gas. At any time. I live in the San Gabriel valley part of LA. Not too bad here. It is OK. But head to downtown or south of here and things change. From being in America to being in a different world ! Big contrasts. Really big. Not subtle in the least. If you were to film anything in the street in those places, no one would believe you were doing it in America !! The only city in America that can do that !! Los Angeles !! ..........gotta love it !! ............ Having an American made Taco here as I write this !! .........Lol !!

Good afternoon Q, all is well here in the southeast. Easter is pretty much quiet in here and I need to go to work, but I need manage to squeeze a couple of cold beers after work

My wife is still short of being able to walk any more than 5 minutes... still the leg bones and knee bones are detached and only held by some Robocop-ish metal braces.
Kids and I spent good times at the Church, Zoo, and War Museum (Yes I am a war junky! ;-D) .. but I missed out on the Easter eggs!
