Hey everyone,:howdy:

I've been a member over at RWG for a few months now and have heard great things about this forum while over there.

I joined originally looking for 1 specific watch - a patek phillippe Calatrava 5119... Thanks to the great community over at RWG I manage to avoid being scammed by the endless list of unscrupulous websites but in my search did find that the rep I was after was no longer made. This is where the beauty of the forum really helped and I was offered exactly what I was after through a M2M sale. Payment to my wrist in 48hrs - better than Amazon :thumbsup::thumbsup:

As many other stories go, once I had my first watch... It wasn't enough and I've quickly added to my collection with a 21j Rolex Blue Ceramic Sub, An AP Royal Oak (36mm Black Dial) and most recently the patek nautilus 5711 - A4813.

Unfortunately it's not enough and every time I log on I find something else I want.. No sorry I NEED!!! I've picked up some great tips from members from messages and posts and hope one day I'll have some useful information to pass on too.

Still very much new to the hobby and enjoying learning and researching.

Hey!

Where do i start? hahaha....After having my Nautilus for a whole week.. I've decided i have to upgrade to the SW200 version as soon as I can!

I'd like to change my sub for a higher quality version - toying with the idea of a bk sub, but we'll see...

Saw a nice Bell & Ross 02-92 in M2M that I quite fancied (not sure about the rubber strap though)

Everytime I start looking something else gets added to the list!

Lol, yes once you start it's difficult to stop I've looked at the noob explorer several times myself but the sloppy lume always put me off.
Some fantastic Pams available ATM noob 111n, 380 would probably fit in well with what you have and also the noob has just released the 390, wonderful collection of Ss case, vintage lume, beautiful gold hands and closed case back, could go on and on, check out Ales Pam guide in the Pam section it's a world of information.

Will do, thanks for that... I'm still finding my style so guess ill end up buying few and letting them go pretty quick of they don't suit my taste.

Only bought the sub to see what all the fuss is about and didn't take it off for a few weeks... The flaws really bother me know though, 21j isn't smooth enough, lume doesn't last.. Pearl isn't quite right and it's the wrong bracelet.
Well worth what I paid though

But especially the Patek! The box is a great touch! I myself soon will get a similar style, but probably the Vacheron!


I know what you mean about the Noob Sub C.
I just picked up a black one from a member (at a steal!!) and it's fantastic value!
However lume is no good and clasp is "fake", rehaut not 100% and pearl way too big!
I think pretty soon I'll spend a decent amount on a really good sub for my special occasion and keep this one as my daily beater!

The box is lovely but unfortunately that stayed with the member I got the watch from.. I am planning to get one myself soon though... I'm pretty sure it's from Mary and Rochest at WI.. The calatrava itself is great but the strap is a little hard and has a bit of a plastic feel. I'll eventually get a gen alligator strap for it.

My sub bracelet is great but it's just the wrong one for that model... It's meant to have polished mid links on the blue ceramic but for the price I paid I can't really complain.. I think ideally I'll go for a black no date sub with Swiss movement which will eliminate many of the minor tells or flaws.

Saying that though, no one who's seen it on my wrist knows enough about rolex models to know it should be a polished white gold mid links and I've not once been asked if it's real... Looks pretty convincing and the blue looks great when you're slumming it in jeans and t shirt
