Hi guys,
i'm new here, so i apologize if i sound too dumb.

I'm interested in buying a Patek Nautilus 5711, with gold bracelet and brown dial.
My question is: does the gold plated bracelet starts to lose the colour over time? if so, how much time till that happen?

Just one more thing: what's the best factory for this specific watch?

Thanks ;)

Gold plating scares me as well. I'm avoiding watches with this. I'm sure they are fine, but they will wear down over time - whether it be a few months or a few years, depending on the quality and how rough you are with them.

I have a brand spanking new QF YG DD received minutes ago. I will eventually put Renaissance Wax on it. If it needs replating maybe I’ll look into that, maybe get a new bracelet, or maybe get a new watch

I'm avoiding them too lol , for that very reason , they probably will be ok but I don't like the idea that they might not be , must admit some watches look nice with the gold plating but I just can't bring myself to purchase , I think I'm going to do some more research.

It would be best to educate yourself on the subject. You'd be surprised at what you might learn.
