the problelm with in-house pams, the price. at this price point you can get some pretty mean toys: JL or AP...
I think AP is still a bit higher no? I paid $8500 for my 422 new. Used it can be had for 7000-7500 I think.

I was saving up to get an Ap diver which would've been 12k used or 15k new. But thank god I found this forum LOL

For example: 8 days PAM 560 is $6600 msrp and then you can get discount and grey market prices brings around $5K, so its not that bad as JL or AP.

I agree with what others have said above - with PAM, if you are going gen, make sure you get something that isnt readily available as a rep. The reps are so close that it almost doesnt make sense to by the gen of the same counterpart. Go with something unique.

Yeah but need Suggestions around $5-6K mark.

Not sure about that. I guess it depends on what the grey market source was. Example - if you buy at costco, which i believe is grey market, then i believe they have some kind of warantee of their own. But i would check with each individual store as to what their policies are. I dont own a gen, but if i were in the market for one, i would try to do research on the store as well to make sure they would be around for a while in case i needed some after sales assistance.

Used on the other hand is another story. U know your are getting a used product, and Chrono24 is a pretty reliable source from what i have read.

For used PAMs I would look at rolexforums.com

Look for seller DavidSW. You can email him and let him know your budget and he will work with you to find the right watch. All of his pre-owned pieces are in great shape. Last I checked he was selling a pam 389 for 6500. I was really close to getting it, but thank god I found RWI and picked up a rep for $250 lol.

I picked a 177 as my 1st gen PAM (yes, very highly repped with lots of super reps already). My max budget was $5K so my search was limited to the used market. My wish list: Ti, 44mm, Luminor, 3-hand/COSC-cert, exhibition caseback and movement that can be serviced w/o sending to OP.

Best of luck with your search.

I own a 514 and am passively shopping for another gen. My suggestion to you would be get what you like, but if it's a Pam then go grey market and/or secondhand. Chances are high you will want to sell a few years down the road and you're going to take a big hit if u buy brand new from an AD. Also agree with what everyone else is saying re in house movement. Spending big money on an eta movement makes no sense to me.
The search is half the fun! Take your time, try on a ton of different models/brands and make a well-informed decision. Keep us posted and feel free to pm me if you have any questions.

FWIW my fave PAMs (gen) have been 372 and 233 dot - that dot serving as a day/night indicate is just sublime especially at the point switching. Also I always wind that watch up and have the PR indicator at around 3/4 .

I was looking around on paneristi today and people are selling used 372s in the 5200-5400 range... its a buyers market right now.

do also consider servicing cost post warranty period. the cost co-relates with the higher reserve it has. for the 1st kit, 312 is best all around IMHO.
