The longer markers are from the rep, I think you mean to say the other way round

No bro, the longer markers on the subdial are from the gen. Refer to the first photo. The 2nd photo is a rep as stated.

NO
Longer markers are on the real GENs PAM 531

That is due to the PAM official catalogues and computer generated images from OFFICINE PANERAI have shorter markers on subdial and all makers have copied the dial of catalogues.
Real gen watches have longer markers

Is the 535 like posted above the only GMT or Marina with the carbon looking dial? I want to find one of these as I once had the gen.

No. Thanks to you
Because I forgot this matter in PAM GUIDE
I have already included it and also included your link in the PAM GUIDE

"The main flaw of these dials are the seconds subdial @9. All reps have this subdial with shorter little stick painted markers. This is most likely due to PANERAI published all advertisement pics, and even the pics on website Catalogue, with short markers. Rep makers have copied the sudial from those advertisement pics, but the real watches have longer markers. The flaw is few noticeable, unless you know the issue, but it is important since it is a dial flaw. Read below post about this matter:

Fred, that's an amazing collection.

For me though, there's only one GMT that can rule all others and that's the 233. Domed crystal, 1950 case, date, gmt, PR, exhibition case back, and 44m (perfect for my wrist size) :D

I have to agree! I have a gen 233 and it is my daily watch. Here's my Grail!! I love the fact you can hide the gmt hand when not needed
