Looks like Trusty has a third batch ready to ship... Price incredibly has gone up by $10 to $398.

Should I still pull the trigger?

I'm wondering the same thing. Ready to pull the trigger but can't confirm if the correct handstacks are available. Hmm.

Well, if you can trust what it says on the dealers' website, it says "Correct Hand Stack". Hmmm... But you know what they say about "little white lies". So far everything seems to be in good order though...

I just cannot believe they've raised the prices like that!!! $10 in a week!

Mo' money of course.. The reason is pretty obvious :p

Anyway, really... it's a nice watch but for the money, there are other far better reps than this one.

I think now more than ever, the dealers are jacking their prices. The average rep this day is in the high $300s regions. The new Graham Chronofighter Diver is pushing it with a $400 plus price tag. I reckoned it started with Hublot BBs...

Still, as lovers and addicts, we can't get enough of our fix! Darn!!!

I will wait for an answer from Andrew as to whether it's a CHS or not. I'll make it clear that if it's not it will be sent back. The $10 hike isn't bad at all. I was really expecting them to jump the price up quite a bit more.

Looking at the pictures the good Doc has kindly posted as soon as his new toy arrived, what do the experts here think? Is this the correct hand stack as stated by the dealers on their websites? :?

Using ratiocination, would be highly unlikely were it not 'correct'...

a bet one would take..

Well, I couldn't resist and I went ahead and purchased one from the 2nd batch. This is the only Rolex that has ever excited me, so betting on future scenarios where prices get even higher and maybe with several glitches in future models and going by good reviews at RWG, I thought what the hell, go for it.

I for one and am very thankful to hk, (who I dont know) and who would take the time to show
all the flaws between his gen and the rep. I think those things are what makes this forum
so helpful. Thanks hk

Pete :D

Just looked at Trusty's. The 3rd batch has sold out! Amazing. Don't recall any reps flying out the door at this speed.

These will stay sold out for the rest of the year, I bet. Such a good rep!

I'm starting to hear rumblings about the reliability of models with the correct hand stacks. I think someone over at RWG already had to send his back after it exploded after two days. The problem is that, to my knowledge, the "maker" never really solved the problems that plagued the correct hand stack on any GMT. I'm curious to see how this will play out, particularly for the money.

those movements are the same as before and nothing was ever done to fix them. it's just a extra 200.00 for the ticking time bomb option. :?

Sent mine back to Josh a couple days ago and i do not want it fixed or another one sent out. It stopped running the 1st day and that was that. I'll just get a different watch. I do not want to take a chance again on the GMT 11.

i am sorry to hear this. i questioned this movement from the beginning and i was hoping they had done something to fix it but as it turns out they hadn't, that is a shame because it is an expensive watch. :(

....and wouldn´t a 'incorrect handstack' GMT do the job?

I want a GMT-IIc badly, and I´m tempted to save moniez' to try to get a incorrect handstack one, but if the incorrect handstack is a ticking-bomb too, I won´t spent any cent on it, since to import a watch from any dealer from this forum would cost me at least twice more than what you usually pay for it.
...Also, one of other desired watches of mine is a Explorer II black dial, but on local sellers here on my city, I only find the cheap one with poor/none date mag, and completely wrong clasp (with squared indent on the safety clasp) and I don´t want to waste time and money getting a crappy made knock-off.

Maybe it´s time to change the n00bs question to "Who has the best/working GMT?" lol

Cheers,
Spirit.
