A little over a year ago, I bought one of these from Lay (TD at the time).

It came with a broken movement and not long afterwards, his TD status was removed. Trailboss has tried to source a replacement mvt, but had no luck (the hands didn't fit).

So wat should I do? I'm happy to buy another movemt and hands if I need to. Can any modders help?

Thanks

Most of these gmt's issues stem from the gmt wheel or it's gearing. They are taller than the ones Helen sells. So you would have to swap those parts out and if they are broken in the first place, you're back to square one. True sorry, happened to me.

If that's the GMT mod that is damaged and if you can't find a spare movement, I don't see many options.

First, buy a similar watch to use as an organ donor and resell the rest of the parts to save some cost.
Second, use a 2893 and have some longer gears installed to allow the use of the overlay (requiers new hands).

As for taking care of it, things will be better in a few weeks, but yeah, right now I'm very busy.

I of course don't know how much you paid for the watch, but why not just get a new one and sell the old one as it is?

I could sell it, it does work... but I think I would prefer to fix it, if possible

I bought a Swiss with a GMT mod movement for my 116713 GMTiiC and it worked fine. I had to broach the GMT hand out a hair to fit just right.
Got the Movement from Helenarou
Mine runs like a top now. All the pinions were the right height too.
Fuzzy pic and don't have the GMT wheel on it but you get the idea

R2 said he faced some issues with this movement. Is there enough space for the date overlay and all the hands?

There was not on mine. The date snaps over perfect. It's really one of my better running watches. Not to say they are all great but I do have pretty good luck most times.
