The rehaut crown is not centered directly over the 12 index marker. I would welcome opinions from experienced members whether they would GL or RL this watch just based on this flaw? I have read herein that even some Gens have this "flaw"...This is the new V6 from GMF with the VR3186 - so, to my knowledge, one of the most expensive GMT II reps currently available. Thanks.

That minor flaw is not a reason to RL. The entire rehaut engraving on the GMFs is poor - look how far off the letters are at 42 -50 minutes. It's just something you have to overlook if you want a GMF. The engravings are thin and shallow anyway so they should not be visible enough to worry about.

Of greater concern to you should be which movement you actually got. See the thread below.

Hey mate that's barely visible at massive magnification. It wouldn't bother me. The watch looks good. Looks like they have the gold plating much closer to everose too. Just check the rolex around the rehaut lines up too as we can't see it from the pics.

Yes KJ - I wanted to get the rehaut issue settled first before I ask the TD for pics of the movement or a video of setting the hands.

Thank you all!

Gold expectancy is between 2-4 weeks with daily use. After that the watch will look like a stainless steel piece.

So my last SS/YG wrapped Bluesey (16613LB) I purchased in 2004 or 2005 and have worn the heck out of it, and had to replace the movement - but nowhere on the watch has any of the gold worn through to base metal. If johnlogan is correct, and I have no reason to doubt that he isn't, I will be a future customer of Mr. Nilz (???sp - the service guy on this Forum who does plating) - the rootbeer is just to gorgeous; together with the fact that I don't have an extra $30k laying around for a gen:)

Yes, I do. I was trying to recall his correct user name while typing my response post above - thanks for correcting my guess!

I have the same issue with my Rehaut. It doesn't bother me at all. From a far, it still looks really good.

In the gen pic kj posted above the rehaut is also crooked. This is not a "tell" for a rep.
