The 2836 is the ETA clone. You should read up on stuff. Its a GMT movement which works perfectly.

If he's playing around I guess you could always decline the QC...
People change their mind all the time - he's at fault for pushing you towards a (more expensive) movement which is shit.
But, you should also have done your research...

If you operate correct, and have a good rotation of watches I don’t see a problem.

Make sure to read the sticky that explains how to set the time on the CHS properly

CHS is so overrated. The two hands are only near each other a couple hours a day and it's really hard to see it otherwise. It's just another gimmick to separate us from our money. Keep it simple and it will last.
