Giveaway watch for Kickstarter project- Orbital

I would suggest improving the clasp design a bit if you are aiming at a $500 retail range. The parts that fold over and go against your wrist look like something from a very inexpensive watch.

Exactly, that and the inexpensive movement don't justify the price. Of course any seller can price their items as they see fit, I have no problem with that, however I would need more information about the watch itself to equate the asking price.

Now, I may be wrong but it appears the seller needs to meet some financial goal of commitment (funding the project) before he's moving forward with actually building any watches, right??

kickstarter is actually a clever way to market your product. Lots of people/businesses with healthy cashflow do launch their products this way. There's a variety if benefits;
1. Kickstarter has many followers so new products are seen.
2. The products receive worldwide attention.
3. Many investors 'scout' this site. As are competitors.
4. Links are found on many 'specialty' blogs AND FORUMS!!
6. It creates cashflow as it goes (when successful)
7. Simply a good part of your marketing plan
8. Feedback is priceless
and it goes on....

why only use kickstarter if you don't have money?
