Hum how do we feel about wearing homage watches that we're worn by fascists during WWII?

Not bad at all. Have you seen a Jewish person driving a car made in Germany? It is different if you wear a homage watch which is inspired from ww2 pilot watch. Now it would be odd if you went looking for homage watch inspired by watch which hitler wore.

I don't think the Nazi theme is just restricted to stupid girls with tattoos

The ones with swastikas and SS gear don't worry me. It's the ones without it that do.

It's always the quiet ones that are the serial killers. Always remember that. Dogs that bark don't bite.

Don't start that argument - I pissed off a lot of paneristi here discussing my discomfort with the brand :)

Hugo Boss suits, VW's, the IG Farben companies (agfa / faber castel / basf / Bayer), Krupp and all the other brands that are symbolic of the German war effort or specifically the atrocities. Hard to avoid them.

Although I do avoid Krupp because Gustav Krupp financing Hitler and IG Farben successor products becasue they made Zyclon B.

I still drive a BMW though :D

Some people are just ******* idiots. Good for her, because she is an ignorant piece of shit, she labeled herself as such for life. Good Luck getting a job other than the resident whore for the local neo nazi chapter.

Nah - no issue with companies that HAD a war past here. Almost impossible to avoid goods made by german or japanese companies that had a war past unless you want to limit your choices a lot. My discomfort is only in Panerai's reveling in their WW2 history - IWC smartly distances themselves from it, while Panerai embraces it. I don't think they intend to promote fascism, and obviously Italy is objectively "less" bad than Germany was, and I don't think less of anyone who loves the brand (to be clear!) - it just makes me feel a little weird is all.

The young black kids that say it are not glorifying the murder of millions. They may be ill advised to use the term, but it is not out of hate.

What made you decide that you would try to make the rest of the conversation about you?

Did some black kid with skittles scare you when he got in the elevator with you?

How is marching around showing a symbol that proclaims "I think everyone who doesn't look like me is subhuman" the same as teenagers calling each other a slightly modified slur for their own race?

Yes, an old black person might be as offended by the word as a jewish person would be by a swastika, but the STATEMENT you're making is not the same thign at all.
