It's a curved crystal, so some distortion is pretty much not avoidable (and to some even desirable).
I haven't tilted a Gen to an angle, but I can only imagine it's the same.

Just curious, has anyone seen the white 35mm GF in stock from any TDs? My usual TD (Li) says it is not available at the moment and asked me to check back in a couple of weeks however when I dropped Hont a message and he said he can get it. He's offering a slightly better price too, but after seeing a few posts saying that all the GFs were from last year and no TDs seem to have it.. a little skeptical. Any thoughts?

Guys I need a help for which I shall be obliged to you all.
I got a Santos from Geektime and within two days after using the quickswitch feature the steel bracelet popped open on its own on couple of occasions and the watch fell down. Now when I try to fit the bracelet it just wont fit as the quickswitch spring / watch are has gone 'free'. I tried the leather strap and it fits fine without falling so far but I'm afraid what if it just falls down one day? Is it the problem with that particular bracelet and otherwise its reliable or is it a common occurrence ?

Getting To Know The Place
Has anyone that owns a GF Santos Large 40mm have there sapphire fall out from the crown? I have worn my new watch only 5-6 times and notice that my sapphire fell out of the crown and is lost. I never hit the watch against anything. The only way I new it was not there was when I was taking it off and putting it away for the evening. Now I need a new sapphire.
Concerning crystals:
I would need your opinion. Have you all had issues with the quality of the edges?
From what I have seen in this thread, the crystal never was an issue and looked fine at all watches posted here.
I rejected my QC pictures now for second time for the GF 35mm SS.
The crystal is an instant tell IMHO. Check it out.
Now Puretime tells me that I should get another watch, because all Santos are like that.

Hey guys, echoing Eiffeltauer on top,just looking for some quick input on my Santos’s crystal. How does the distortion/frost look? Especially on the top, it seems very squared off. Is this fine for GF standards? Everything else is great, small spec on the dial at the 9 oclock and slight gaps in the lugs and SEL but these are non-issues for me. Only thing bothering me is the crystal particularly at the top right corner.

That crystal also looks terrible... and what´ s with the frosting?

Guess it's a RL for this then? Pity cause everything else was good for this but the crystal was really bothering me.
