I wanted a Audemar because its higher priced

wow.. thats some odd rationale.. this is usually the rationale of the type of people who want gold yachtmasters etc.. usually they have some deep inferiority issues is why they have to go and get a fake gold watch to pretend it to be genuine.

but do you want something that looks like genuine? then diamonds aren't they way to go, look up fakewatchbusta on instagram and you will see he has called on dozens of "rich" rappers showing off bling watches.

and the reason you dont see hublot much is there is no demand for those anymore.. always in our m2m section they take a long time to sell, their style isnt on trend anymore and the style isnt appreciated by serious watch fans.

I think that very small gems or CZ's liven up a dial. I have a $30 Rep Yachtmaster with small diamonds or CZ's and I like it. The case and bezel are not great but the dial is the best dial I own in my collection. However, they don't really match my brown leather band.
I have two Le Gran ladies divers watches. The 12 small rubies on the dials really liven up what would otherwise be somewhat boring 60's lady diver watches.
As for big gemstones on the dials or bezels?---I dunno.

Are you wanting to put real diamonds of a fake watch or fake diamonds on a gen watch?

It's gold plated, of course it's going to wear off in time. Although I wouldn't worry, anyone who is going to call you out will probably point out the millions of fake diamonds long before they notice gold plating wearing off.

I personally wont mind having a diamond bezel or hour markers on something like a Day-Date but whenever I see someone wearing a iced out submariner it looks like an invitation to being mugged.

I would say if you look like you can afford diamonds and own a nice car, and home it would work. The Hublots with diamond bezels are cool. Don't go for pave face or full case in diamonds though. Everyone will know its fake.

I think I'm not gonna do diamonds for my first watch, I'm honestly debating if I should get a gold Audemar Royal Oak or what kind of Royal oak to get, having trouble picking the colour.

Gold is always riske when it comes to reps. The colour won't be the same and they fade. I recommend a jf v2 15400 in stainless steel. It's beautiful, it draws lots of attention and it's a very good rep

Dude, 100% go with what makes you happy. You cannot go and get a watch that you think is the most expensive, 3/4's of the public wont have a clue what it is anyway. Everyone is different, some people only wear reps of the gens they could afford or there lifestyle says they can afford....this is a huuuuuge other subject too.
Look around, browse the M2M, look at the trusted dealer sites, even go into a jewller and see the gens, i find that pictures do not do watches justice and you need to go and see them in person, then make wait till the one comes along and pull the trigger.

All based on opinion, I've never been a fan of Hublot- I feel they copied the style of AP.
Most guys I assume think diamonds look gawdy and are a call for attention. I'm also the guy who never put chrome rims on his car (when the were in style). Same line of thinking to me.
BUT Main point is- if you like the look and are comfortable wearing it- go for it. Your opinion is the only one that matters
