Is it bad if I get diamonds on a watch? Im debating between a Hublot or an AP and I'm having a seriously hard time finding a watch. Just wondering I don't see that many people get diamonds on them, is that bad?

It's not bad, but it will attract a lot of attention.. Especially on something like a Hubolt or AP. Personally, diamonds aren't for me, but watches are all about what you like, so if you like diamonds, go for it!

Bad? Not, if done tastefully. Talk to Horlogeman. He's the King of Bling. [emoji6]

Don't do it! I think it looks tacky (even on gen watches with big Price tags)

Honestly I'm so confused, I wanted a Audemar because its higher priced usually then a Hublot but I find the Hublot Design better. I have seriously been sitting all day looking at pictures of watches, and diamonds on it seem so cool idk.

I need advice guys.

... get a Hublot then if you like the design. Basically no one you run into IRL will give a shit if your replica is of the more or less expensive watch - there's literally no point in buying something you like less just because the gen is more expensive, unless you're planning on running a scam in the future and trying to resale it as a gen... which would be, y'know, remarkably stupid.

Otherwise the very small percentage of people that would actually know the price difference between an AP and a Hublot will likely also consider that you've "paid" more for the Hublot branding vs the actual horological significance of the AP, so in their eyes you've still "wasted" more money on it based on the perceived value of each piece, if that's your end goal here.

In short, who gives a shit, buy what you like.

As far as diamonds go, well, I've got nothing nice to say so I won't say anything at all - but again, your watch so who cares.

Diamonds aren't my thing, personally think diamonds suit women as women and bling go well together. Still, if you like it go for it.
Nobody, even those who know their watches will say you're stupid for choosing Hublot over ap. Ap, hublot, rolex, omega, pams are generally boxed into the same category, so from that point it's all about personal taste in people's eyes.
Btw I've seen american celebs with diamond crusted cellphones on tv, now that is crazy.

AP is cool too I like those its just I like the Hublot look better.

Also with diamonds the thing is I don't see too many people here positing pictures of watches with diamonds on it or anything so I'm worried about wear and stuff.

Why would buy based on the cost of the gen? That's a real lousy way to choose a watch IMHO. Better to ask yourself "Do I have the clothes, car and Centurion card I need to pull off look for a 100 grand watch?"

Diamonds on watches are a personal choice. Depends upon the enviourment you roll in . If your friends relatives they wear a 20 to 25k & above gen watches . And you want to stand out flaunt your watch. I reckon you should go ahead.

For a girl it's ok if your social circle fits the bill. For guys it's just cheesy. I only know one guy with a 'iced out' gen Breitling and it looks total shit.

I cringe in a big way every time I see a guy wearing a watch covered in 'diamonds'. It's normally someone who looks like a crack addict wearing a tracksuit...
