Excellent review, side by sides are the best.

Which series was the Genuine 088, as I believe the later series (H onward) had thicker crown guards but the earlier series 088 (especially D and E) are closer to the rep one pictured, without the slope at each end.

Also another visible difference, which I believe you didn't mention, is the gap between the crown and case - the rep is flush with the case unlike the gen.

Funny how the Ultimate sub-dial has too much grey, and the DSN is too much silver (I prefer the DSN's silver colour by the way).

It's a great opportunity to see the true level of quality of reps, when a repbrother, who owns a gen, takes time to do a side by side....cheers

I just thought you might be interested in what happened to this 088 rep. I sent it to Vac for some more work which was done great. When I got it back I signed for the parcel only to find that there was a slit at the top of the parcel where the contents (my 088) had been stolen and I had an empty parcel. This happened before xmas and it has taken me till now to be able to write about it. I have been in touch with ParcelForce but no joy. So check your parcel has something in it before you sign for it.

That is probably the most sickening thing I have read so far this year. I can't believe how far some thieves will go, and especially since it's pretty obvious it was someone at the carrier company. It's one thing to have a parcel stolen from your postal box or front stoop. Quite another that someone 'entrusted' with the parcel and its contents steals it. Karma will catch up to whoever that douchebag is.
