genuine or after market parts?

don't overstate it with little but very expensive rolex genuine parts like clasp, bracelet, crown, tube, bezel insert + pearl and so on.
the most genuine rolex owner what i know with a vintage like 1665, 1680 and the little bit newer 16610 don't pay extra for a watchmaker with rolex licence holder if they need parts or a revision. the most take such as a genuine rolex crown+tube the equivalent swiss made crown+tube (stainless steel + gasket) for a quarter to half of the price.

the only important thing it must work, feel good and be pleasing for the owner. it doesn't matter if it's genuine or after market. they know the watch is genuine and shows the accurate time. that's it.
meanwhile i have the same attitude.

totally disagree, only true for american market. On Europe must stay with original. By the way never seen an aftermarket as accurate as a gen.

such as crown without rolex markings like a crown at the crown. just as well it's swiss made stainless steel with gasket of course. same for the tube with gaskets and so on. no problem at all you can buy swiss made parts of course in europe.
i think after market or generic swiss parts like the crown comes mostly from the same factory as the genuine parts.
