Not the most interesting or original thread this, just curious on others thoughts.
I've mentioned in previous posts that I meet many people with nice watches in my line of work. Yesterday was no exception.....guy comes in, takes me about 5 secs to identify the Rolex on his wrist.
Anyway, we engage in non-watch conversation and as things go we realise that (in a business sense) we might just be beneficial to each other. So he asks for my email. As I'm writing it down he notices my rep. "That Chopard is a beauty. I was considering one of those for myself, you have good taste".
I was wearing my Narikaa GT XL (which most of us know is inexpensive) and my first thought was 'Oh shit'.
I brushed his comments off and said I was very happy with it.
It's very, very rare that someone comments on one of my watches. I must admit to feeling kind of smug when he left. Had a smile on my face for the remainder of the afternoon.
