i guess if we want to call a rep an ultimate version or really close to the gen, there should not be any difference between the gen and the rep just by looking at pics. I see many other members did alot to those areas and really appreciate the effort put into it. (such as the recessed date wheel and date font, CG and CG pin) shall we also try to look for a closer case to make it more perfect?

You can certainly look, and there are some Jimmy Fu cases still floating around here and there that ARE better than the "normal" rep cases, but that's about it.

For now, anyway. There are rumors of better, more accurate cases on the horizon, but they aren't available yet.

You guys are funny but very right. I enjoy the thrill of sourcing the parts and then seeing what I can put together. The gen 000 is not going up for sale anytime soon unless they make a new logo watch that looks like the pre-V 201A!

I guess I'm going to have to keep my mouth shut on my next projects so its more of a surprise then

Good pictorial jaykeem, the Zero Logo is one of a kind, indeed, both in rep or gen form.

I managed to put together an 'ultimate Zero' some time ago with all right the bits and pieces available at the time...sold it to hooligan who I see didn't treasure it for long and on-sold it again. Well all I can say is - babola and hooligan, this time you're idiots :twisted:

The rep dial of a 000G is one of the rare Pam rep dials that comes with dial txt font thicker than the gen. Panerai suddenly changed the dial txt to thinner font on 000 and 005 in 2005, but kept the thick creamy font on other historics like 111/112/177 etc.

I just used the standard Jandrew case from Trusty Time and the other website which I cannot remember. Nothing special just the run of the mill rep case.
