Look, there's even a 16610 LN that has the serial not in the middle of the minute markers. And it says it was serviced by Rolex in 2017, so must be gen right. I guess the nitpicking comes from the 116610 or 126610 with ceramic bezel always having it between minute markers?
Also I just noticed in a used watch store that a datejust that didn't have the serials in between minute markers at all, they were kind of randomly spaced like a badly aligned VSF
It seems gen rolexes always have the starting R always under the first minute marker aligned, but may or may not have different spacing on other parts of the R O L E X.
This misaligned first R + badly aligned R O L E X + badly aligned serial = I decided to get a 126610 or at least a different 116610. My QC showed all these issues and I don't think it will stop bothering me since no gen rolexes have that first R in the wrong spot as far as I know
